Funding is available for charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges across the UK and Ireland for projects in disadvantaged communities that help people start a new business or increase financial capability.
The NatWest Skills & Opportunities Fund is one of the many ways RBS Group is contributing to the communities. Last year £2.5 million was committed to fund projects in charities, social enterprises, community groups, state-funded schools and colleges across the UK and Ireland. Another £2.5 million is being committed for two funding rounds in 2018.
The focus for this funding is to support organisations that help people in disadvantaged communities develop, create or access the skills and opportunities they need to help themselves; skills that will enable them to start a business or increase personal financial capability, now or in the future. Helping people gain such skills and access opportunities to learn can help turn their lives around and build better communities for everyone; when stronger communities are built, everyone grows.
