By way of introduction, I work as a member pioneer for the Co-op and my role is assist in bringing the community together and promote the Co-op values.
Part of what we do is supporting local causes and to assist this, we run the local community fund which provides funding, typically in the region of £2,000 to £3,000.
The amount of funding is determined by the spend in local Co-ops. Ultimately Co-Op members use their card when they shop and this provides 1% cashback to local causes so if you are selected as a local cause, we would ask that you promote the membership cards which will in turn increase the amount of funding you receive.
If you have a particular project in mind for next year, please apply for the fund.
The link is at the foot of this email. I look after the Lowton, Pennington, Culcheth and Ashton in Makerfield areas so please feel free to share with groups in those areas if this is not something you would use.
The closing date for applications is 28 June.
If you do have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
