Aims/priorities: The Albert Hunt Trust offers grants to charitable organisations active in the UK.

The scheme is intended to support charitable organisations carrying out projects that improve physical and mental welfare.

Who can apply: Charitable organisations in the UK

Grant amount: Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees

Although most grants are for between £1,000 and £3,000, in the past higher amounts have been awarded in exceptional circumstances.

Application process: Charitable organisations are asked to submit appeals to the Trustees by letter containing the following:

  • Aims and objectives of the charity
  • Nature of the appeal
  • Total target if for a specific project
  • Contributions received against target
  • Registered charity number
  • Any other relevant factors

Deadline: The trustee’s grant making policy is to react to appeals received and these are considered by the trustees on a monthly basis.
