Wigan Council is having an open conversation with our residents and partners this summer, to help us understand people’s hopes and ideas as we recover from the pandemic.

As part of this festival, join us for our upcoming events:

  • ‘Community Safety’ online engagement event on Wednesday 30th June at 6.30pm till 8pm. We will listen to your thoughts and ideas on how safe you feel and what a safer society looks and feels like in Wigan Borough.

Register here to attend.

  • ‘Empowering Communities’ online engagement event on Thursday 1st July at 6.30pm till 8pm. We will listen to your thoughts and ideas on how to create a kinder society together and what a kinder society looks and feels like in Wigan Borough.

Register here to attend.

The events will be attended by Wigan Borough residents, businesses and VCFSE (voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise) sector. They will take an informal structure with a short introduction and then any attendees have an opportunity to speak (time-permitting: we will hear from as many attendees as possible).

We hope you will share your views on how our society can be kinder and safer and share your examples of things we could all do to make a difference, both big and small in our communities.

Why attend?

This Big Listening Festival is an important opportunity to hear from you and can lead to improved outcomes for our communities.
