Astley and Tyldesley hosted the first of the three Manchester League Individual Championship evenings, at Gin Pit, on Wednesday.
In the u-10s Championship, A&T’s Josh Pilkington raced to a 16 points maximum score. Team mate Levi Edwards dropped just one point, with Bury’s George Keeble a further point behind.
Duncan Whalley made it a double success for A&T riders, by winning the u-16s Championship, again with a maximum score. Runner-up was first year rider, Caspar Ellis, with u-10 champion Josh Pilkington claiming third place overall.
Astley & Tyldesley host the u-13 Championships on Wednesday, 7 pm start.
A&T had three riders who starred in the North & Scotland Men’s team win in Round 3 of the Battle of Britain series at Ipswich on Sunday. Pierce Bacon raced unbeaten, Reece Pollitt dropped a single point and Pawel Idziorek dropped just two points.
