Citizens Advice Wigan Borough’s Energy Advice Programme resumes from August 2020 until March 2021.The Energy Advice Programme (EAP) will provide one-to-one (currently via telephone) advice to consumers in fuel poverty, or in a fuel poverty risk group. Clients must be the named person on their energy bill or have consent to speak on their behalf and have a copy of the latest bills to hand.
EAP advice appointments will be carried out by qualified advisers and during these advice appointments, advisers will support consumers in or at risk of fuel poverty with matters related to:
– Fuel options, tariffs and energy bills, claiming Warm Home Discounts and accessing priority services
– Energy and thermal efficiency measures
– Advice to support with relief from fuel poverty, such as identifying and claiming benefits, and dealing with debt.
