The Warblers as we looking for new members to join us and spread the word regarding singing for breathing and a support network

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF SINGING WITH WARBLERS

. Develop awareness of their postural and breathing patterns.

. Learn to change old habits through learning new exercises.

. Extend outbreaths through sung phrases in both obstructive and restrictive disease.

. Improve respiratory muscle strength and co-ordination.

. Return to normal breath pattern and reduce top up breaths using primary not secondary respiratory muscles.

. Explore vocal production supported by the whole body.

. Build physical and vocal stamina.

. Have FUN.

NB. All singers whatever their condition, will need songs with open vowels, long phrases and time for the in – breath.
