Next week is Communities Week where we’ll be celebrating celebrating the community groups and local businesses that are the heartbeat of our towns and neighbourhoods. To get involved, share your stories on social media, using the #CommunitiesWeek hashtag.

MyCommunity inspires and enables local people to act on the issues they care about in their community. It provides resources to help people find information on the support options available as well as tools, tips and ideas to turn great ideas into positive community action.

Get started

We’ve been working with Promising Trouble to explore how community business can benefit from creating and owning their own technology, and what’s possible when communities are inspired to create an alternative to big tech.

We’re keen to hear your thoughts on the potential of community tech – please complete this short survey: https://bit.ly/3hSyIKXRead the blogs

We’ve partnered with Stir to Action to offer 80 free training places on the 2021/2022 New Economy Programme, a learning and action platform to support community business.
The programme offers a wide range of courses on engagement and participation, social communications, media and journalism, democratic business, placemaking, creativity, and autonomy at work.
