Astley & Tyldesley raced in a pre-season challenge match at Wolverhampton on Sunday. The big Wednesfield circuit provided a good work out for the riders and North & Scotland champions A&T put in a good display against the Midlands champions, before going down 104-96.
A&T welcomed back Matt Snell to the team and he won two of his four races. Reece Pollitt was best for A&T, dropping just two points to Chris Jewkes and Matt Smith, in his six races. Pawel Idziorek scored well, with the Steve Harris/ Max Evans pairing solid together. Jewkes top scored for Wednesfield, with Brandon Whetton losing only to Pollitt in heat 2
