GYM members and instructors have taken part in a 24-hour cycling challenge in aid of a children’s charity.

A group of 18 people spent time on a spinning bike at Powerbeck Gym in Leigh to support Destination Florida. The event took place on Sunday, May 20, from 6am.

The charity organises trips to the American state every two years for around 72 children with life-threatening and life-limiting medical conditions and their parents or guardians from across the north of England to visit its major theme parks

A raffle was also put on by the gym with a range of prizes handed out.

Around £2,500 has been raised for the charity. To donate to a crowdfunding appeal set up by the gym to raise money for Destination Florida visit bit.ly/2KRL0QK.
