Dorothy Merry

I have great pleasure in exhibiting my paintings at Shevington library and giving you a chance to see the wide choice of mediums and subjects I specialize in.  Whilst drawing and painting has been a lifelong hobby, I now have more time to pursue it.
I have painted in oils for many years, now I use other mediums. I have enjoyed discovering and using these namely pastels, watercolours and acrylics. My most recent experience has been with the medium ‘Brusho’, I have enclosed some of these works in my exhibition today.

Anne Haworth, MA, BA Hons:

Anne’s ceramics are all about the natural world. She derives her inspiration from plants, both above ground and under water.  A walk along the seashore or in the woods near where she lives is usually a good starting point.

Anne uses a number of hand building methods including coiling, slab building and press moulding. All the work is fired to stoneware. Anne has a BA Hons and a Master’s degree in ceramics.
