Young Roots

Aims/priorities: Through Young Roots, The Heritage Lottery Fund wants to give young people aged 11–25 the chance to plan and deliver their own heritage projects. They are supported along the way by heritage and youth organisations working together. Projects celebrate the young people’s achievements and share what they’re learning with the wider community.

Grant amount: £10,000 – £50,000

Aims/priorities: The Resilient Heritage scheme is administered and provided by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Projects should make a difference to people, heritage and communities in the UK.

Specifically, the Resilient Heritage fund exists to support organisations in the UK who want to build their capacity or achieve strategic change in order to improve the management of heritage in the long term.

Who can apply? Not-for-profit organisations, and partnerships led by not-for-profit organisations, are eligible to apply

Grant amount: Two levels of funding are offered through this programme:

  • Grants of between £3,000 and £10,000
  • Grants of between £10,001 and £250,000
