A free digital tool has been launched to help charities improve their use of data.
The Data Maturity Self Assessment Tool looks at charities’ use of data and highlights their strengths and weaknesses.
This is across a questionnaire covering seven broad themes: data, tools, leadership, skills, culture, uses and analysis. Charities are then graded from “unaware” and “emerging” through to “mastering” in each category.
The digital tool is available in two versions. A short five minute survey gives charities a broad overview of their data use, while a fuller 20 minutes version includes additional features such as benchmarking and details on priority areas for improvement.
