Project Update
Stakeholder briefings regarding Greater Manchester’s transition into an Integrated Care System Integrated care systems (ICSs) are partnerships that bring together providers and commissioners of NHS services across a geographical area with local authorities and other local partners to collectively plan health and care services to meet the needs of their population.

All parts of England are now covered by one of 42 ICSs and work is now underway to create an ICS in Greater Manchester by April 2022.

The Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) issue briefing updates to keep stakeholders up to date with its work to establish a GM Integrated Care system  and to transfer the commissioning duties of Clinical Commissioning Groups to the ICS.

These can be found on a dedicated page on our website together with resources from the two ICS related Assembly events organised by GMCVO in partnership with the GMHSCP in 2021.
