SALARY GRADE: c£40,000
LOCATION: Liverpool
DEADLINE: Monday 9th July 2018

This is a rare opportunity to join a much-loved family-focussed charity as their first ever Head of Fundraising.

For the past 25 years, Alder Hey Family House Trust (affectionately known to the families it supports as ‘Mac House’) has provided the parents and siblings of children staying in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital with a home away from home close to their sick child.

Mac House gets its name from one of its largest supporters and partners, the Ronald McDonald Charity, and is situated in the grounds of Alder Hey Hospital, but is an entirely independent charity with its own board of Trustees, strategic direction and loyal following of supporters.

As Head of Fundraising, you will be tasked with diversifying, consolidating and growing the charity’s fundraising income, working closely with the board and fundraising committee to do so.

You will have proven experience of raising funds from corporate, community, trusts and foundations or individuals in a not for profit context, and will be able to draw on your strong negotiation skills, a head for strategy, and a confident approach to your work.  You will be able to communicate well on all levels and comfortable working within a small and friendly charity environment.

Above all you will have a passion for using your skills to make a difference to families in their greatest time of need.
