Let’s innovate

Have you got an idea that could help unpaid carers?

If so you could get funding to make your idea a reality.

Are you a community group, organisation, individual trader, or local business bursting with bright ideas that could help unpaid carers to connect with peers, manage their respite time or maintain their health and wellbeing?

Our brand new series of events, Let’s Innovate, can help you to help others – and there is up to £5K available from the Council to help you bring your ideas to life!
Whether you own a hair and makeup business and could develop a programme to treat unpaid carers, are a florist who could offer respite by teaching a new hobby or have the skills to build a community network – if you could help unpaid carers to feel valued and supported, we’d love to hear from you.
Based on the Soup community concept popular in the USA, we’re encouraging organisations to submit their ideas. A handful will be shortlisted and invited to make a five-minute presentation to an audience next month, and will be followed by a vote to select which projects will be backed.
