We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate and knowledgeable Marketing Manager to join our vibrant team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and delivering marketing activity for The Old Courts Art Centre, The Royal Court Theatre and our new Charitable Trust, Wigan Arts Heritage and Culture Trust. 

​Educated to degree level or equivalent, or with a minimum of 3 years marketing experience with a proactive, positive, ‘can do’ approach, you will have substantial marketing experience with a proven ability to think creatively, develop imaginative campaigns on a limited budget and drive ticket sales. The role demands a strong mix of practical and interpersonal skill

To succeed in and enjoy this role you will need:

·         Excellent communication and people skills

·         Experience of developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies to boost ticket sales develop                    awareness of our wide-ranging programme of events, engagement, commercial activities and fundraising                    activity as well as elevating our profile. 

·         Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including attention to detail, meeting deadlines and the ability            to prioritise a large workload

·         Experience of managing a small team

·         Exceptional copy writing skills

·         Understanding of google analytics

·         A strong understanding of digital marketing and social media

·         To take ownership for the website content, checking and proofreading to ensure information is accurate and up            to date

·         Passion for technology advancements with excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word

·         Experience of working with press and media

·         Experience in researching, writing and managing the distribution of media releases

·         To have experience of briefing and producing marketing materials with graphic designers

·         To love creativity, technology and beautiful design

·         The desire to push yourself and develop new skills

·         Self-confidence, self-motivation and self-discipline

·         Experience of providing customer care

·         Flexible attitude and willing to work as part of a team

·         The ability to use initiative

·         To be able to work under pressure in a busy environment

·         An enthusiastic willingness to represent the organisation and advocate the arts

·         To be a creative thinker and problem solver

·         Confidence to speak at public events 

·         Willingness to work evenings and weekends
