Aims/priorities: The MCF has dedicated £600,000 to help hospices across England and Wales. This year the funding will be split between their core grant programme and an exciting new partnership with Hospice UK.
Hospices are able to apply to one or both of these hospice programmes.
Hospice Grant programme awards grants for core operating costs to adult and children’s
hospices in England and Wales that receive 60% or less of their funding from the NHS
Hospice UK partnership programme aims to develop and extend bereavement support
services in hospices, improving the well-being of bereaved families and individuals
Who can apply? Eligible organisations are full Hospice UK member adult hospices or children’s hospices based in England and Wales. Partnerships working on developing new projects are encouraged. Partnerships could include internal colleagues/departments, hospitals, community groups, local councils or other organisations. The leader applicant must be a full member of Hospice UK.
Grant amount: Grants of up to £20,000 are available over a period of 18 months. This allows for
up to three months setup phase and 12 months project delivery, with a further three months to
cover any unforeseen delays mid project.
