THIS IS A FREE  EVENT AND EVERYONE IS WELCOME, CALL IN ANY TIME ENTERTAINMENT, GAMES, QUIZZES ETC.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3RD  The BRIDGERS COMMUNITY GROUP are creating a display of POPPIES along Leigh Road Howe Bridge from St Michaels Church to the Cenotaph, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ending of WW1,

If you can help, turn up at the church at 10-00am on the day.

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 6TH,       10-00am.          This is the day that the DEMENTIA BUDDY GUARDIAN ANGELS  open the new MEMORIES TEA ROOM IN THE TOWN HALL  to the public. The facilities and menu will be quite basic to start but will be extended and enhanced during the coming months. Come and take advantage of the Tea Room facilities whilst you are visiting the Library or one of the many WMBC departments that will be based in the new complex

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 11TH  REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY,  following the morning service in St Michael`s church, Both the Guardian Angels Group and the Bridgers Community Group will be laying wreaths at the cenotaph to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ending of WW1.

There is also a SPECIAL SERVICE to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ending of WW1 at 4-00pm in St John`s  Parish Church, Refreshments will then be served following the service, Ministers from  our local churches will be involved and local schools have been invited to take part.

SATURDAY  DECEMBER 1st  there will be an OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE MEMORIES TEA ROOM  at  11-00am and to mark this we are holding a                  “ FESTIVE “  MARKET  in the newly renovated Atherton Town Hall from 12-00pm  to  5-00pm

This will be followed by our  “ MEMORY TREE “  switch-on at PROSPECT HOUSE, Bolton Road, Atherton { next door to Town Hall }  at 6-00pm

Buy and post a tribute to a lost loved one or celebrate your love for your partner, wife, husband, family or Friends.

Cost of a tribute card is £2.50 each.

The switch on will be followed with refreshments and entertainment in the Town Hall

DECEMBER 13TH  The Atherton “ WALKING NATIVITY “ will take place, starting from the Market place at 6-30pm,  this will then be followed by a short Carol Service  in St Johns Church { Parish Church}

DECEMBER 14TH.

There is a Brass Band Carols Service in St Johns Church starting at 7-00pm

This is a beautiful festive occasion for ALL of the family.

THERE ARE MANY GROUPS WITHIN ATHERTON WHO ARE WORKING FOR THE BENEFIT OF OUR TOWN—TURN UP AND SUPPORT THEM !!!
