Wigan’s Greta Hampson is targeting the European Junior Championships after landing a haul of medals at the Swim England Synchronised Swimming National Championships.
The 17-year-old picked up four golds across the Free Solo, Technical Solo and Free Duet and Technical Duet disciplines at the senior national event in Nottingham. She also secured Free Team and Technical team bronzes.
Since being backed by Wigan Council’s Believe Talent Fund in 2016, Greta has already made her mark on the international stage, winning two bronze medals for Team GB at her first International Open event in Stockholm.
The rising star is now focusing on preparation for June’s European Juniors in Finland, before securing selection for the Junior World Championships in Budapest and the European Games in Glasgow later this summer
