SUPPORT FOR RESIDENTS IN WIGAN AND LEIGH

Following the overwhelming success of its all night mental health crisis services in Manchester, Self Help Services has been commissioned to deliver The Sanctuary, an overnight crisis service providing support to residents across Bolton, Wigan and Leigh.

Local residents (aged 18+) or those registered with a GP in your area, can access The Sanctuary, operating from 8pm – 6am, which provides a place of safety and support, welcoming people experiencing anxiety, panic attacks, low mood and / or suicidal thoughts outside of usual office hours.

The Sanctuary provides an important alternative to people who, in the past, have gone to A&E services when experiencing a mental health crisis during the night.

Clients can access the service by calling:

The Sanctuary: 0300 003 7029

Following a conversation with trained Sanctuary staff, the client will then be offered telephone support or they will be invited to come to The Sanctuary for one-to-one support.

Please note: we do not accept referrals from people with severe and enduring mental health issues. We have a strict inclusion/exclusion policy and are a primary care mental health commissioned service.
