Wigan Rotary Club are delighted to announce that Santa will again be touring areas of Wigan in an evening and will be at Tesco’s Central Park on a number of days during December. In addition, there will be a contact free way for the children to be able to tell Santa what is on their Christmas list. Via the Wigan Rotary Club’s website, parents will be able to book a meeting for their child or children to sit in their house and link up with Santa in his grotto.

Santi Nandi the President of Wigan Rotary said ‘ After last year’s disappointment of not being able to accompany Santa around Wigan we are delighted we have been able to organise some appearances for him during December. With the present situation we have decided not to knock on doors and hope residents will come out when they hear the music to say hello to Santa. For a list of dates and times when Santa is likely to be down your way or at Tesco’s you can look at the club’s website.’

‘After last year’s success with our ‘Zoom with Santa’ children will again be able book a call to see Santa in his grotto and have time to chat to him and tell him what they want for Christmas. This is a fully personalised experience and will see Santa having one to one chats with each child from his Lapland grotto and recreate the magic of this festive tradition. We hope everyone will feel able to make a donation which will cover the costs of the event and help us to continue all the work we do in the Wigan community’

Bookings are via the Wigan Rotary Club’s website    with full details of the dates and times available. For any queries email or ring 07813 471000

Santi said ‘ We are grateful for everyone’s generosity and the donations we receive. The club’s priority continues to provide support for local community and voluntary groups, along with some assistance for organisations involved in humanitarian work overseas. We have continued to make donations to local groups during the last eighteen months to help them with the amazing work they have undertaken to help people during this difficult period ’
