The Unity Club in Standish will be filled with the best of music from the West End and beyond on Saturday 9th October with Victor Michael and The Two Sopranos performing a wide range of songs. Their show will include classics such as Nessun Dorma alongside songs from famous musicals such as Les Miserables, Joseph and His Technicolour Dreamcoat, and The Greatest Showman
The performers are all full time professional singers who have performed together for a number of years. And for one of the sopranos it will be a special night, Pemberton born Lisa Davis, will be singing for the first time at The Unity Club having performed all over the world.
She said ‘ It will give all my family and friends the opportunity to come and hear me sing some of them for the first time and I know they are in for a treat with quality of my fellow performers.’
Lisa studied opera at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester before going on to perform in Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s ‘Hey Mr. Producer’ among other shows. She spent much of her singing career at sea performing on cruise ships all over the world.
Organised by Wigan Rotary Club President Santi Nandi said ‘ All the singers perform regularly both in public and at private functions. Just before the lockdown Victor returned from a season in the Caribbean, so we are confident of a great night of music.’ He continued ‘all the profits from the concert will go into our Charity account so we can continue helping the Wigan community.’
Tickets priced at £12 are available online by going to the club’s website www.wiganrotary.co.uk
