Success in Scotland for Astley and Tyldesley Cycling Club

Astley & Tyldesley made it a double win in Scotland on Sunday afternoon.

A&T’s first match was against Fife, in a North & Scotland League Division 1 match at their Dunfermline track. After a shared first race, A&T took a 7-3 heat win from the Terry Norman and Frank White pairing, for a lead which they held for the rest of the match. Although the points were shared in 11 of the 18 races, A&T took the heat wins in the other seven races, to run out comfortable 99-80 winners. For A&T John White was in superb form, unbeaten by an opponent, just dropping one point through a starting infringement penalty.
