The PRS Foundation is supporting artists, songwriters and composers to create and develop when they need it most. The Sustaining Creativity Fund is designed for music creators experiencing hardship from loss of work due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The funder has adapted the current round (round 3) to provide targeted support for Black music creators who are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is one immediate step in a commitment by the funder to making meaningful changes to PRS Foundation programmes.
The funder encourages applications from Black music creators, working in any genre and at any career level, who have been experiencing hardship from a loss of work due to COVID-19.
Grants of £750 will be available, to be spent on anything that enables music creators to continue to create exceptional new music.
The deadline for applications is 10 August 2020.
