- In the week ending 11 June 2022, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimate that around 1 in 50 people in England had COVID-19
- The ONS survey suggests that the percentage of people in England testing positive increased in all age groups. We advise taking caution in over-interpreting any small movements in the latest trend
- As at 21 June, there were 44 COVID-positive patients in Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh hospitals, an increase from this time last week.
Please continue to wash hands or sanitise regularly, wear a mask in crowded public places, sanitise frequently touched places in the home, and open windows occasionally to let in some fresh air.
These small actions will help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.
Being fully vaccinated is still the best way to protect yourself from the most serious effects of Covid-19.
