Ingeus would like to invite you to a free workshop, aimed at charities VCSE and not for profit organisations in Greater Manchester.

As part of our Social Value commitments, we would like to extend the resources of our corporate teams to you, as our local partners in delivering our programmes.

Our corporate Learning and Development team will be delivering a session in Disability Confidence on 28th February, 10am to 4pm, at Ingeus Wigan (2nd floor, Elizabeth House, Pottery Road, Wigan Pier, Wigan WN3 4EX). Lunch is not provided, but refreshments will be available.

The aims of the session is below:

Disability confidence is important to all front line staff, managers, and HR professionals. This course has been designed to raise awareness and confidence.

In this course you will:

–       Learn about the Government’s Disability Confident scheme, understand the responsibilities and what this means on a day-to-day basis.

–       Look at overcoming barriers and objections that some organisations may have when considering a disabled person or a person with a long term health condition for employment.

–       Think about how to persuade more employers to become Disability Confident themselves.

We will also share tips, strategies we have used, and best practice.

If you would like to secure a place on the workshop, please contact Jayne Garner- [email protected] with your name, job title and organisation. The workshop is aimed at the VCS sector partners and has also been delivered to all Working Well teams. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, and 12 spaces will be allocated.

Parking is available across the road from the venue at The Edge. If travelling by train, turn left out of Wigan North Western station, follow the road directly in front of you, and Elizabeth House is a ten minute walk.
