The Reader are offering free training, resources and support for organisations working with clients with dementia, or clients otherwise impacted by dementia (for example carers).
We are looking either to offer free training for staff/ volunteers to provide wellbeing reading groups, or we can also supply our own volunteers who lead these groups. There’s also an additional offer of volunteers writing reading based letters to residents.
Please could anyone interested contact me on [email protected] and I’ll let them know more about the offer. Every part of it is entirely funded and free!

AUTISM FRIENDS SESSIONS (Autism Awareness)
Our Autism Friends sessions are a brief insight into Autism for anyone who is interested in knowing a bit more about Autism. Our Sessions are currently running virtually on Microsoft teams, a free app available from your playstore on your device, and run for 45 – 60 minutes. On completion of your feedback form after your session, you will receive a badge to wear to show you have had a session in Autism awareness. Our aim is to encourage our borough to become an Autism Friendly Borough.
