Training: Responsibilities of running a Community Building

This workshop is ideal for anyone who has the responsibility of running or looking after a community building. The session will give an introduction to what building management is, key considerations and ensuring that you are compliant with law and regulations.

This session is aimed at members of voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisations who run a building and will cover:

  • An introduction to building management
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance – what you need to know and do
  • Compliance explained – what is building compliance and why have it
  • Choosing your suppliers
  • How processes can help – keeping on top of what needs to be done
  • Prioritising
  • Sources of help
  • Shared occupancy and sub-letting – clarity relating to maintenance and repairs
