Young Manchester Holiday Playscheme Fund 2018-19 – applications close on Friday
Young Manchester is passionate about giving children and young people the opportunity to play. Open access playschemes are a fantastic way for children to make new friends, stay active and learn through doing over the school holidays. The purpose of the Holiday Playscheme Fund is to complement the all year round play offer in Manchester. The funding aims to enable open access play activities, primarily over the Summer 2018 and Easter 2019 holidays, with a particular focus on; addressing gaps in provision, increasing the numbers of disabled children accessing universal play services and increasing childrens’ opportunities to play outdoors. Grants of between £1,000 – £10,000 are available. Deadline for applications: Friday 15 June, 5pm. Read more

The Woodward Charitable Trust – apply by 31 July 2018
The Woodward Charitable Trust primarily funds charitable organisations in the UK. If Woodward funds overseas projects it is usually via UK charities which can ensure that funds are being well used. Woodward favours charities, which make good use of volunteers and encourage past and current users to participate. Small grants of between £100-£5,000 are available. Deadline for applications: 31 July 2018 for consideration in October 2018.

Forward Enterprise Fund
The Forward Trust and Social Investment Business have launched the Forward Enterprise Fund. This will support enterprises and charities run by, or creating employment opportunities for, people with convictions and people in recovery from addiction. Successful applicants will receive a tailored mix of support to help grow their business. Repayable finance and grants for business support are available for start-ups with ideas they wish to develop through to established organisations, social enterprises and charities looking for investment to expand and grow. It is anticipated the fund being open for applications until October 2020 and you can submit an application at any time. Read more

Big Lottery – Partnerships Funding
Through the partnerships funding, the Big Lottery make grants over £10,000 for organisations who share responsibility and influence with others, who have a shared set of goals and values, and achieve their mission by starting with the bigger picture rather than just what their organisation can do on its own. Grants are awarded for up to five years and project activities, operating costs, organisational development and capital costs will be funded. Applications can be submitted at any time. Read more
