Funding is available to non-profit organisations for community, heritage or biodiversity projects, in areas in the vicinity of a Viridor Energy Recovery Facility in England.
This funding programme is available through the Landfill Communities Fund, an initiative which allows landfill operators to release tax credits to environmental and community groups. The scheme broadly aims to enhance the environment of local communities in the vicinity of a landfill site.
Viridor Credits Environmental Company is a Distributive Environmental Body able to allocate Landfill Tax Credits on behalf of Viridor Waste Management. Viridor Credits aims to provide environmental and social benefits for local communities in the vicinity of Viridor-owned energy recovery facility sites across England. Funds are distributed via steering groups located in the eligible areas of England.
