We recognise that volunteers are at the heart of nature conservation here in the UK.  To help us fulfil our aims in creating a bigger, better, more joined up Carbon Landscape we need you!

Our occasional and regular volunteering opportunities are a great way for you to discover and take ownership of a hidden wildlife haven right on your doorstep.

Throughout Wigan, Salford and Warrington there are a huge variety of different volunteering opportunities involving all aspects of the Carbon Landscape project.  These include practical habitat & site management, biological recording, Inspiring & supporting local communities, assisting innovative educational sessions and helping deliver fun and inspirational events.  Work together with likeminded people and develop new skills and knowledge that you can use to inspire a wider community.

Join us in making history by celebrating our heritage, sharing stories and restoring an ancient landscape once transformed by industry.  Together, help us leave the legacy of a healthier, biodiverse and a more connected future for wildlife to thrive and people to enjoy.

There is no experience necessary and everyone is welcome.

We rely on the help of volunteers, who enable us to carry out work we simply wouldn’t be able to do without them.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, gain new skills and build your CV, so get in touch today! Go to https://carbonlandscape.org.uk/volunteering-carbon-landscape
