All Welcome

As the cold winter weather finally starts to arrive, help is at hand for residents struggling with rising fuel bills. Many people face a tricky balancing act of staying warm and healthy while keeping an eye on the cost of heating.  A drop-in session has been organised with the Premier Health Team at the Bridgewater Medical Centre where the AWARM Plus Team will be available to give advice which could result in lower bills and help people keep warm.

If your boiler is broken or you don’t have a central heating system, for example, coal fire or storage heaters, you could be eligible for a FREE replacement boiler or a fully funded central heating system.

The AWARM Programme was set up to help anyone whose health could be at risk in homes which may be cold and damp. The AWARM Team can also organise a warm home visit to install draught-proofing, emergency heating, refer for loft and wall insulation.  The team can also provide advice on making the most of your money through switching energy providers, benefit checks, access to grants and support with fuel debt.

“Our drop-in sessions are aimed at anyone struggling to keep warm or may be vulnerable to the cold because of their health condition or circumstances  we want to help people keep warm and safe in their own home,”

You can either call in at the drop-in sessions (please bring a recent energy bill), or can ring the AWARM Plus team and book a warm home visit on 01942 239360
