Wigan Rotary Community Day Saturday

Yes! Its back – Community Day will be taking place on Saturday 9th July in Standishgate with the stage on the Market Place.  This vibrant event in the town centre will once again bring the whole community together thanks to Wigan Rotary Club.  Stalls are still available to any local community group or charity as part of Wigan Rotary Club’s Community Day.

Participants will be provided with a free of charge chance to raise their profile, make some money and recruit new members.  Every participating group will be allocated a frontage on Standishgate or Market Place to erect a table and/or gazebo and make the most of this fantastic opportunity.  Come into Town and join in the fun.

The Community Day gives voluntary and community organisations the showcase to present the fantastic work they are doing in our local communities. This tried and tested event becomes more popular each year.  This year we will once again be honoured with a visit from the Mayor Cllr Morgan and her consort, plus the added welcome for visitors from our twin town of Anger who will be able to do a walk about in the afternoon to meet everyone.  See them on the stage from 1 p.m.

To attract the public and create a great atmosphere there will be music groups and talent from the local community entertaining all day on the big stage.

There is still time to book in for a stall and more details and the Booking Form can be found on Wigan Rotary Club’s website www.wiganrotary.co.uk or for more information ring 07813 471000 or email WiganRotaryCommunityDay2022@gmx.com

Wigan Rotary Club and our new President Rtn. Monica Meehan is looking forward to seeing you all.   Come on down.
