Support to local people with a health condition, who are recently unemployed (up to 6 months), furloughed or off work sick
The following message is from Maximus:
I think you will all agree – we really are facing challenging times.
I’d like to bring your attention to a FREE service, called Working Well Early Help, commissioned by Greater Manchester Combined Authority, which all Greater Manchester councils are contributing towards and is backed by the NHS. This service offers support to local people with a health condition, who are recently unemployed (up to 6 months), furloughed or off work sick.
Over recent months we have received an unprecedented number of people contacting us, these are people who have worked all their lives, only to discover, through no fault of their own they are finding themselves furloughed, on reduced hours or in some cases redundant. We have certainly seen an increase in the number of people struggling with both their physical and mental health, lots of which is due to people isolation, shielding, loneliness, etc.
I would image a number of these people will live within your communities you support – I know from conversations with community organisations and housing providers in Great Manchester their tenants and communities are really struggling.
While I’m not suggesting WWEH is the answer to all problems, we may be able to help. Getting in touch couldn’t be simpler just call Loraine on 07768 022667 or email [email protected] or you can find us on social media https://www.facebook.com/MaximusUKGM/ https://twitter.com/MaximusUK_GM
